EIOPA issues statement on actions to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the insurance sector

Last night (Tuesday 17 March), the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) issued a statement on the impact of COVID-19 on the insurance sector. In its statement, EIOPA encourages insurers to take the necessary measures to navigate the current challenging market conditions in order to maintain operations and protect employees and consumers.

Last night (Tuesday 17 March), the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) issued a statement on the impact of COVID-19 on the insurance sector. In its statement, EIOPA encourages insurers to take the necessary measures to navigate the current challenging market conditions in order to maintain operations and protect employees and consumers.

 

EIOPA states that it will coordinate the efforts of national authorities and further EIOPA guidance is expected by Friday/early next week.
