Insurance Ireland Membership
There are three different categories of membership of Insurance Ireland.
Insurers, operating for at least one complete year directly through a Head Office or Branch Office establishment in the Republic of Ireland and licensed or authorised to carry on one or more classes of Insurance business under the Insurance Act, 1939.
Insurers which are based in an EU Member State other than Ireland and authorised by that State’s insurance supervisory authority to write Irish risk business on a freedom of services basis and writing such business for at least one complete year.
As a part of Insurance Ireland's current strategy and governance model, Insurance Ireland has now introduced a new class of membership - Associate Membership. Associate Membership is open to organisations (who are not authorised insurers) whose interests or objectives are related to or shared with members in the other categories of membership of Insurance Ireland, subject to such terms and conditions as may be set by, and at the invitation and discretion of Insurance Ireland's Board.
